Birthday Supper for Kirk

For Kirk’s birthday, he got to choose the menu. He wanted steak and shrimp. We enjoyed a lovely grilled ribeye, grilled shrimp with a smoky dry rub, mushrooms and onions that tasted as good as they looked, mashed potatoes, his favorite vegetable broccoli and prosecco. I had a few grape tomatoes and a small piece of bread lying around, so we grilled those up too. All in all, it was a wonderful dinner – in fact we never made it to dessert.
